To get a better knowledge about procedural modelling and its possibilities I chose SideFX’s Houdini again for my Bachelor Thesis with the topic: Conception and realization of an Houdini Digital Asset for procedural city generation in Unity 3D”
What I learned
I got a better and deeper understanding of procedural modelling in general. Furthermore I learnd a lot about Mesh generation and its challanges. My own constraint was to generate everything procedurally. The lession from this is to better evaloate if the procedural approach is worth the efford and where to use best.
